Layne

Terms of Service

The ground rules.

Last updated: May 9, 2026

Eligibility

Layne is an invite-only beta. Access is granted on a per-email basis by the operator. Sharing access or attempting to bypass the allowlist is not permitted.

Your account

You authenticate with Google. You are responsible for maintaining the security of the Google account you use to sign in. If you connect additional credentials (e.g. casting-platform logins for scraping), you are responsible for ensuring those credentials belong to you and that their use complies with the relevant platform’s terms.

Acceptable use

Use Layne to organize your own auditions. Do not use it to scrape, resell, or republish data belonging to other actors, casting directors, or platforms. Do not attempt to disrupt the service, reverse-engineer it, or probe it for security vulnerabilities outside a coordinated disclosure conversation.

AI features

Layne uses large language models to score auditions, summarize breakdowns, and surface notifications. AI output is best-effort and may contain mistakes. Treat it as a triage signal, not a decision. You are responsible for your own audition decisions.

Service availability

Layne is provided as-is, without warranty. As a private beta, it may have downtime, may lose data, may change behavior, or may be shut down without notice. Do not rely on it as your only record of an audition.

Termination

You can stop using Layne at any time and request deletion of your data per the Privacy Policy. Access may be revoked at the operator’s discretion if these terms are violated.

Changes

These terms may be updated as the product evolves. Material changes will be announced on this page and reflected in the “Last updated” date above.
